题目:Performance Capture from A Single Depth camera
摘要:
Depth cameras are becoming widely available for setup boxes, game consoles, or even cellphones. The real-time dense depth map offers tremendous opportunities for both vision and graphics research. In this talk, I will present my lab’s recent work on human motion modeling and analysis using a single depth camera. Our work focuses on high-quality outcome, both visually and quantitatively.

题目:Intelligent Distributed Binary Sensing for Human Activities Perceptions
摘要:
In this talk, I will introduce the underlying mechanism of binary sensing and its applications in human activities perception. The simplest form of sensor data is binary, which represents the presence or absence of energy sources. Binary measurements can contain the geometric and behavioral information of human subjects, such as positions, number of targets, gait, posture, and scenarios. The advantages of binary sensing include (1) high tolerance of low SNR, (2) reduction of data throughput and communication overhead, and (3) enabling a use of multi-modality low-cost sensors. Through binary data analysis and machine learning, various types of the information related to the human activities can be revealed. A series of experiments have demonstrated the advantages of our binary sensing approach.
